IESE Business School is the graduate business school of the University of Navarra, based in Spain and best known for its MBA programs and executive education. IESE has a strong international footprint, with main campuses in Barcelona and additional campuses in Madrid, Munich, New York, and São Paulo, alongside programs and activities in other global cities. It is consistently ranked among the world’s leading business schools, with its MBA and executive education frequently placing near the top in major global rankings.
Running Career Fundamentals, IESE’s multi week bootcamp for first year MBA students, meant tracking attendance for more than 400 students across many different sessions. Doing that manually was challenging and time consuming, and it often created uncertainty for students and extra follow up work for the Career Services team.
To solve this, IESE chose Attendance Radar because it matched what they needed: it was easy to administer at scale, simple for students to use, and made attendance clearer and more transparent for everyone involved.
One of the people closest to that day to day experience is Anna Kanalas, a Career Management Coordinator at IESE and the main Attendance Radar administrator within the Career Services team. She handles the setup and support behind the scenes, from preparing sessions and attendance rules to helping ensure both students and colleagues have a smooth experience throughout the program.
We asked Anna about using Attendance Radar, from her perspective as an administrator and from the students’ perspective as participants, and here is what she had to say:
“Before Attendance Radar, managing attendance manually was quite challenging and time consuming. We were looking for something that would be easy for our team to manage and simple for students to use, and Attendance Radar definitely improved the process.
We received far fewer complaints about attendance tracking, and it reduced the administrative workload after the program ended, overall it made the system much clearer and more efficient. Most students were happy with the system and found it easy to use.

Overall, the collaboration with IESE has been a real success for us, and we are proud of it because it reflects the hard work we have put into making Attendance Radar a practical and reliable solution for large programs.
